Leg Cramps/ Soreness Post-Exercise

My son complained about soreness to his legs after exercises, from bottom of feet, ankles, knees, and hip joints. Worst, the pain lasts for days. He has been running too much himself (3 miles a day, before the pain started).

From my understanding,  post-exercise leg cramps or soreness are usually caused by electrolyte imbalances brought on by heavy perspiration. These imbalances cause muscle and nerve cells to malfunction. Therefore, rest… drink water or a sports drink like Gatorade before and during exercise … and massage after exercise … may be necessary… and should help… hopefully, summer vacation is coming.

When an inactive mom has an overactive teen boy, I wish I am half active as he is, and wish he got half of my laziness.
