Great Poetry

静夜思 /Thoughts in a Quiet Night -李白 Li Bai

床前明月光 (Chuang qian ming yue guang),

Moonlight in front of my bed,

疑是地上霜 (Yi shi di shang shuang)。

Took it as the frost on the ground.

举头望明月 (Ju tou wang ming yue),

I raise my head and look at the bright moon,

低头思故乡(Di tou si gu xiang)。

Thoughts of my hometown as my head gradually lowered down.

This great Tang poetry writes the feelings of homesickness. It is a quiet night, as “I” can not sleep in the middle of the night. At night, it is lonely and cold, as the bright moonlight shining through the window to the ground in front of my bed, and I took it as a layer of white frost on the ground. I look up to the bright moon through the window and think of my hometown. Thinking, thinking, and my head gradually lowered down.
