AESOP'S FABLES

The Camel Driver /Foresake the Hard When an Easier Way is Available: Do not let anything turn you from your Destination

“The Desert to the right is bare and bleak,”

A camel driver said.

“And to the left there’s nothing much to seek,

For all is blank and dead.”

So he addressed his camel. “If you know

The better road, pray tell me where to go.”

“Master,” replied the camel, “through the years

I’ve seen how some have traced

A course that leaves the rutted track, and veers

Into the sandy waste.

Turn not to left or right; but find, instead,

Your destination on the road ahead.”
