AESOP'S FABLES

The Cat-Lady / AESOP’S FABLES (beautiful only when dressed, but none the nature locked inside)

The gods, to end an argument,

Gave to a cat a lady’s frame.

And many saw her with intent

To woo the fair and dainty dame.

Smiling, she made her choice, and soon

Beside him in her wedding dress,

Waited demurely for the boon

Of lifelong love and happiness.

The priest declaimed, the guests stood round,

And festive tables filled the house,

When suddenly, upon the ground

Outside, she saw a scrambling mouse.

Then dashing at the long-tailed prey,

She quite forgot she was a bride.

Some change the garments they display,

But non the nature locked inside.
