    Rationale:
    GUI is the means for the user to interact with the operating system.

    The operating system also provides a user interface. The user interface is the means by which the individual interacts with the computer. For many years PC users had to enter specific text commands. Microsoft Windows provided a graphical user interface (GUI). A GUI provides menus, windows, and other standard screen features intended to make using a computer as intuitive as possible. Graphical user interfaces decrease the amount of time required to learn new programs and eliminate the need to memorize commands. (Hebda & Czar, 2013)
